John Klett and Tech Mecca Inc. are based near Carmel, NY - about 90 minutes North of mid-town Manhattan, NYC. John does some of his work in conjunction with the exile shop in Long Island City - about 15 minutes from mid-town Manhattan. John often travels for work. Everything is scheduled. In-shop work, shipping, receiving, pick-up, drop-off, visits, and work-in-general are all by appointment only.

John on 'Emergencies'... "Emergencies are something one should invest in preventing. Cleaning up after the fact always costs more than whatever one might have saved by not thinking about it and taking care up front - and many emergencies are predictable and preventable. It should also be said that I generally class a real emergency as a circumstance where someone's life or liberty are at peril and immediate action is required. Not being able to make a record when one wants is more of a hugely inconvenient bummer, but it's not an emergency."
