Social Media - is, to me at least, a distracting and addictive time suck.
It's like a direct-inject mental junk-food that is designed to hold one's attention,
gather data on what draws it, break it in to pieces, monetize this information
and reward users with dopamine releases generated by empty "likes"
from "friends", many of those being bots.

I have maintained a couple accounts so people who have lost track of me might be able
to find me, or possibly so I can find people I have lost touch with... or so I can
do a quick check to see if someone I have not spoken to in a long time is
still alive... which helps avoid awkward emails and phone calls.

Last May I bailed out of LinkedIn so now I am down to one social.

Instagram - where I post photos of things once in a while but note that, if you
DM me on Instagram, it could take weeks or months for me to respond.
